Funding the National Forum
The Australian Government has provided direct funding to the National Forum for three years, commencing 2023. This funding is essential to enable the organisation to undertake its national advocacy work in raising awareness and informing policy responses to the issue of family violence affecting First Nations people, and so that the National Forum can support the capacity of the FVPLS sector.
Reducing and eliminating family violence can only be achieved with a commitment by government to a genuine partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and Peak body organisations such as the National FVPLS Forum.
The National Forum looks to the Australian Government to provide long-term and sustainable funding for our crucial work into the future.
